Lynn Maynard Ford

Rev. Lynn M. Ford Obituary Lynn M. Ford was born on August 25th, 1957, to mother Geneva Bernice (Kent) Ford, and father, Olen Guy Ford, in Lebanon, Oregon. Lynn passed away on July 22nd, 2018 in Woodland, Washington. He married Susan Marie Pope in March of 1987 in Salem, Oregon. They were married for six years before she passed away of cancer in September of 1992. He married Gwendolyn Diane Lawrence on November 6th, 1993 in Portland, Oregon. Lynn graduated from Lebanon Union High School in 1975 and studied at the Western School of Floral Design. He continued studying business and floristry at Mt. Hood Community College where he received his Associate of Science degree in 1977. He meant to pursue his bachelors at Oregon State University, but God called him to be a minister. After a semester at OSU, he transferred to George Fox University where he graduated with his Bachelors in 1982. He then went on to receive his Master of Divinity from Western Evangelical Seminary in 1984. He was an associate pastor at both Salem Evangelical Church and East Vancouver Evangelical Church. He was then a music and education minister at Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene. He worked as a JSR Marketing Representative for Washington State Employment Security from January 1988 until August 1998 and became the senior pastor at the Woodland Nazarene Church in March of 1998 until he retired in March of 2016. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn from Woodland, WA; sons, Justin from Woodland, WA and Benjamin from Amboy, WA; daughters, Geneva and Holly, both from Woodland, WA; brothers, Olen Guy Jr, Gale, Darryl, David, Dennis, and Olney; sisters, Wilda Sprinkle, Carol Bisson, Nancy Galdabini, and Dolores Smith; granddaughter, Briana of Woodland, WA; and grandsons, Tyler from Woodland, WA, Alexander from Amboy, WA, and Thaddeus from Amboy, WA. He is preceded in death by his father, Olen Guy Ford; mother, Geneva Bernice (Kent) Ford; brothers, Buford and Jess Ford; and sister, Clyda Miller. Mr. Fords funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 11th, 2018 at Liberty Bible Church of the Nazarene in Vancouver, Washington. Pastor Steve Fletcher will be officiating.
