Joanna Nadine Eisenbise

On January 29, 1945, Clara and Rudolf Boehmer gave birth to Jo Anna Nadine. Mom was born on a Monday in Vancouver Washington. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Josephs. She Graduate from The Academy in 1964. In her earlier years she was an active member of the Catholic Community and prayed her rosary every day. JoAnn is proceeded into death by both her parents, Clara and Rudolf Boehmer and a baby sister Sharon. Her father and mother-in-law, Thomas, and Francis Eisenbise. One Brother-in-law, James Eisenbise and a grandson, Alexander Wall. JoAnn leaves behind her husband and best friend of 55 years of marriage (today) David Eisenbise and a Sister-in-law, Judy Eisenbise. Their eldest child, Cynthia and her Husband, Michael Geelan, their children, James and Marissa. Middle child, Melissa and her husband, Michael Curtis, their children, Morghen and Mia. Morghen's son, Charles Scott and Mia's children, Dakota Alexander and Greyson Ray. Youngest child, Michelle, and her husband Joseph Finley. Michelle's children, Curtis and Zachary Wall. Zachary's son, Remmy. Step grandchildren, Xander and Hannah Finley. Xanders son's BenJoe and Anakin. Hannah's daughter, Evelyn. Mom and dad met in 1968. They were introduced by a family member. While she was working at the local Goodwill store, dad went into take a "peek". He must of like what he saw because on that same day he asked her out on a date. They married in January of 1969. In November of that same year Cindy was born. Who knew that such a short time of dating would lead to a lifetime of marriage? She was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom while we where kids. She volunteered at the schools and went on all the field trips. Once we attended high school, she started working at Kamlu Retirement for senior living. She enjoyed working there for 10 years. When mom wasn't working, She would cook food for sick family members and drive across town and deliver to their home. She loves to make up recipes and have the neighbors try them. Her best thing she ever made was her home-made dill pickles. Joann loved crafts, listening to music, cooking and writing poems. She has had several published. "Your Bluebird", will be read out loud today. Mom loved to make blankets for the grandchildren. She would enter them into the County Fair. Each year she would win placing ribbon. Mom loved to craft "Scottie Dog" memorabilia's, she made a whole guest room of "Scottie Dog" items, a bedspread, pillows, pictures in frames, and a room border. She even had two Scottie Dogs, Duffy and Shannon. As a family we'd go camping, fishing, crabbing and take weekend trips to the beach. She was very active in her daughters' lives, taking them to softball practices, games, dance classes and skating lessons. She adored going to her granddaughter's dance recitals, baking and participating in all the science experiences in the garage with her grandchildren. Everyone knew JoAnn, we couldn't go anywhere without running into someone she knew. Of course, mom would have to stay and chat to catch up on life. She was very active in mother of twin's club, bunco groups and loved to bowl, she would be in two bowling teams at a time. Mom always looked forward to trips to the casino. She loved to talk, she talked about work, her childhood, growing up on the farm. Just about anything. She would tell the same stories over and over again. We would just listen like it was the first time hearing it. Her eyes would glow with excitement when she would share her stories. Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Dementia and Parkinsons. These diseases caused her to lose strength in her throat, making it hard for her to eat and talk. She was always in good spirits, with a smile on her face. Even though she could not talk much, she loves to sit and listen and every now and then she tries and throw her 2 cents in. We love and miss you Wife, Mom, Grandma, Sister-in-Law, Great-grandma, and Friend.
