WILLIAM "BILL" T. ROSS September 1, 1949 ~ September 8, 2015 "Bill was bigger than life ~ he led a life of adventure, enough for 10 people at the least. He will be missed by many friends and family. We all know he is now on another big adventure. God bless your precious soul." William "Bill" T. Ross, 66, of Port Hadlock, WA, passed away Sept. 8, 2015 in Bremerton, WA. He was born in Compton, CA to Ray and Dorothy Ross on Sept. 1, 1949. Raised in southern California, he joined the Naval Air and served in Vietnam on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk. Bill developed a love for flying and took to the air as a bush pilot in Alaska. He flew National Geographic photographers and flew scenic flights out of Bellingham, which catered to people, including Robert Redford. Soon, he became a boat captain which took him to Alaska, the Panama Canal, Caribbean, and Greek Islands. In 1997, Bill took to flying again, this time to corporate jets. He finally settled in Port Hadlock with his wife Pam, moving her from Vancouver, WA, but then the Middle East called him for his expertise. While stationed in Saudi Arabia, Bill flew dignitaries all over the Middle East and Europe. In 2006, he became chief pilot for Frazier Health Care in Seattle, WA up until one month before his death. Bill loved RVing, cooking, deep sea fishing, and people. He was always a positive man. When asked before his death what was on his bucket list, he said he only had a teeny pail. Bill is survived by his wife, Pamela (Somers) Ross; brother, Stan Ross; sisters, Janet DeGenero, Kathy Ross, Heidi Haines, Gail Sanford, and Colleen Szilagyi; step-children, Corina Blue, Wesley Pierre, and Rebecca Pierre; grandchildren, Wesley Blue and Ava Blue; beloved cousin, John Baumgardner; and in-laws, Dick and Sharon Scott and Roger and Carol Williams. Special thanks to all our friends and family for their prayers and support. Visitations will be held Tues. and Wed. Sept. 15th and Sept. 16th, 2015 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral will be Sept. 17th, 10:00 am at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Reception following internment at Willamette National Cemetery 1:30. Donations may be made to Wounded Warriors.
