Wilborn N. Vernon

Wilborn Neil Vernon age 85 of Battle Ground Washington when he peacefully passed away on December 19th, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving children at Legacy Hospital in Vancouver Washington. Will was born September 19th, 1939 to Vama and F.M. Vernon in Oxnard California. After graduating High School Will attended Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz California. Will met Wanda Dollar from Saint Helens Oregon and they married. They had 3 children together and were married for 25 years. In 1985 Will married Diane Bergman from Vancouver Washington. They eventually resided in Milwaukie Oregon and were married for 39 years. They enjoyed weekend adventures and traveling together. Will loved sports. He played basketball and football in High school and College. Later in life tennis and golf became favorites of his. Eventually he became a spectator only but he still enjoyed it immensely. Will loved celebrating holidays and any special occasions that allowed him to spend time with his family. Will had a strong Christian faith and spent time in prayer and devotions daily. He attended church every Sunday and had many friends at New Heights North of Battle Ground, WA. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Vama and F.M. Vernon of CA.Will is survived by his Sister Luella Owens of PN, his Brother Duane Vernon of WA, Wife, Diane Bergman-Vernon of OR, Ex-wife and friend Wanda Gustafson of WA, His Children, Kelly Eldred of WA, Bradley Vernon WA, Rodney Vernon of CA. Also including his Son-in-law, David Eldred and Daughter-in-laws Jennifer Vernon and Cathy-Kelso-Vernon. Will was blessed with 4 Grandsons, 3 Granddaughters and 4 Great Granddaughters. Will was a very positive man, always seeing problems as something to solve. If you had any trouble in your life he wanted to help you with it. He rarely complained about his health issues or his prostatic leg, even though they brought daily challenges. We admire his outlook on life.Will's joyful and outgoing personality will truly be missed. We will be honoring Will Vernon at a memorial service,Saturday January 25 at 12:30New Heights North1510 NW 16th Avenue Battle Ground WA
