Wendy Robin Josephsen

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Wendy Robin Josephsen. On October 11th, 2024 She was surrounded by her loving family until the end of her battle with pancreatic cancer. Wendy fought with dignity, grace, optimism and with all her heart until the very end. Wendy was born November 3rd, 1957 to Herbert Jr. and Darlene Engstrom. She was raised in Vancouver Washington, the second oldest of five children. Wendy is survived by a son, Jay (Ashley) and two daughters Crystal (Zachary), and Lacey (Kenny), 9 grandchildren JJ, Bradley, Brooklynne, Logan, Jaylee, Rylan, Orion, Jaxon and Mylo. 3 brothers Tim (Julie), Troy and Kevin, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Wendy graduated from Fort Vancouver High School. This is where she met her first husband Rob at the age of fifteen years. Soon after high school they married and bought their first home together in Fruit Valley. It was here she began her lifelong dream of motherhood to her four children. Wendy loved and took pride in being a mother and was fortunate enough to be home with them for a large portion of their early childhood years. Later she would also take on her role as a grandmother to her many grandchildren, who she often enjoyed spending time with. She took great pleasure in spoiling her whole family with life, love and laughter. In the late 1990s she met her second husband Ed. They purchased a home together in Vancouver Washington where she settled for what would be the latter half of her life. In this home she enjoyed hosting extravagant parties on holidays where she would laugh and catch up with her family, and regular slumber parties with her grandkids. Wendy enjoyed many many activities. She and Ed enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, where they could have a place to stay anywhere they pleased. Wendy loved music and going to live concerts and shows. She loved to sing and dance along to all her favorite songs with her best friends and family. Wendy loved playing games. Her favorite kind were often those with monetary stakes. She enjoyed placing bets on dog and horse races, slot machines, and playing Bingo, Bunco, and other games like them. Wendy was very independent and had many successful careers throughout her life. Her most prominent career was as a driver. She drove limousines, delivered for FedEx, taxied with Uber, but her favorite driving job was when she was a school bus driver. It was her job as a school bus driver that she would eventually settle into until her retirement from the Vancouver School District. Wendy was beautiful from the inside out. Caring and with the kindest soul, she will be forever missed. She is preceded in Death by her parents Darlene and Herbert, her husband Ed, her oldest son Sean, and her sister Brenda. No jeans, no spaghetti straps.)
