Tracy Dale Keating

Tracy Dale Keating was born on February 3, 1971 to Jim and Patti Keating.Tracy and his brother, Eric, were both raised in Boring and Portland,Oregon. He enjoyed time with his family, soccer, tennis, swimming, andskiing. He enjoyed visiting his parents in Arizona and playing tennis,pickleball and cards with his Mom and going for joy rides with his Dad inhis Shelby convertible. Tracy graduated from Sam Barlow High in 1989. After graduating, he wentinto the family business of construction/excavation. After fourteen years ofworking with his Dad, he changed gears and focused on his passion inservice-oriented jobs. He prided himself in helping his family and friends,and tending to his Mother-in-law Barbara. In 2002 Tracy met Jennifer Anne Sheridan. They would marry four yearslater, in September of 2006. They enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening,entertaining, playing cards, board games and all-night Monopolymarathons. They enjoyed going to movies and watching British TVshows. Tracy and Jenny also found joy in attending church and sharingfellowship. Hanging in their home is a keepsake Jenny gave Tracy on his birthday thisyear that says, "On the day you were born, the sunlight danced in your hair,the stars twinkled in your eyes, the moonbeams kissed your cheeks and theAngels sang your sweet name." This is how Jenny feels about Tracy, eventhough after 20 years of being together, there was less hair for the sunlight todance on! Tracy had a great passion for music and could play the piano by ear. Heseldom walked pass a piano without dancing his fingers across the keys. Hefound that music nourished his soul.? Tracy was generous to a fault, oftenthinking of others and showering them small gifts.? He would often giverides to the airport to his neighbors, helped friends and family in their yardsand around the house, even giving a gentle foot rub to his wife and mother-in-law. happy to be helpful to others whether it was through work orextending his kindness to those in need. Down to the sparkle in his eye, hisjoy for being of service to others was always there. Along with Jenny they hosted many events and parties. Tracy was anamazing sous chef and loved working in the kitchen with his wife. EveryChristmas their house became a bakery, full of cookies, breads, and treats.Whether it was a big family gathering, an activity for the church, a hauntedhouse at Halloween or an outdoor movie in their front yard, He was agenerous host first to welcome you and offer a drink. At family dinnersTracy loved to lead everyone in prayer before a meal and always includedloved ones who passed away. Tracy was immeasurable support to his wife in her work and volunteeractivities. He had his wife's uniform cleaned and ready to start the week acup of Joe waiting for her, and the car running on cold mornings. On thenights his wife volunteered with TIP, he fueled up her car and prepared itwith resource guides, coloring books, beverages etc. Recently he enjoyedhelping Jenny collect cans & bottles and taking them to the Bottle Drop toraise money for the MCSO Benevolent fund. Tracy longed to overcome his struggles with his OCD. The times in hislife when he did find true inner peace was with the support of his faith, hiswife, family. Spending time at the beach, listening to music and playingthe piano. Tracy and Jen did not have any children; However, they parented theirfour-legged, kids, Clyde, Foxy, Wrigley, JoJo and Rosie with great love.Tracy was preceded in death by his cousin Timmy Troutman, his AuntCheryl Darpli, good friend Tom Bunday, brother-in-law Kevin Sheridan, andhis dogs Clyde, Foxy, Wrigley, and Jo-Jo. He is survived by his wife JennyKeating, his parents Jim and Patti Keating, brother Eric Keating, andnephews Niles Keating, James Sheridan, niece Lilly Keating and greatnephew Kieran Sheridan.
