Term Nylund Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On July 17, 2010 Term Nylund won her battle with cancer by going home to be with the Lord. She was born on April 3, 19?? in Meadowview, Alberta, Canada, to Opal and Cyril Hobbs. She attended a country school in Canada and secondary school in Weippe, Idaho, where her family moved when she was 14. It was there that she met and married Milton Wilson. They had four children and made their home in Pierce, Idaho. They later divorced and she moved to Lewiston, Idaho, where she began her career as a meat wrapper at Safeway. Term met and married Chuck Nylund and they lived in various places throughout Oregon before settling in Vancouver, Washington. Their marriage later ended. Term was a strong and independent woman who lived life to the fullest and everything she did was first class. She loved to travel, especially with friends and family. Her travels took her all over the globe including Europe, the Caribbean, Tahiti, Mexico, Central America, Alaska and her favorite destination, the Hawaiian Islands. Term was a very generous and giving person who effected positive change in many lives. She gave to a multitude of organizations but most importantly believed that charity begins at home. She was very patriotic and believed firmly in restoring the Godly principles and beliefs held by our Founding Fathers. She enjoyed many activities and was always physically active. You could frequently find her at the gym, skiing, biking and walking. After becoming a grandmother, she even ran a marathon. She especially loved shopping with her grandkids. She took extreme pride in her beautiful home and landscaping. Term was a wonderful cook and was well known for her extravagant gourmet dinner parties. She took tailgating to a whole new level. Term could be seen and heard cheering for her favorite sports teams, the Portland Trail Blazers and the University of Oregon football team: GO DUCKS! Term accomplished all of this at the forever age of 29. She was preceded in death by her parents and survived by her three brothers, Raymond Hobbs (Geraldine), Herbert Hobbs and Fred Hobbs; three daughters, Beverly Dobrinski (Bill), Bonnie Hunt (Bruce), Tina Bowman (Darin); son, Wayne Wilson; the pride and joy of her life, her ten grandchildren, Stephania, Mandy and Josh Hunt, Greg (Nichole) and Brad (Josie) Dobrinski, Parker and Palmer Wilson, Delaina, Victoria and Sienna Bowman; and hundreds of other people who always wished to be adopted by her. Words cannot express how much her love and laughter will be missed!
