Stanley L. Jones, Sr

Stanley Lawrence Jones,(Pug) age 81, of Vancouver, WA passed this life on Thursday, January 28th,2021 at Community Home Health Hospice Center with his family members by his side, located at Salmon Creek, WA of cancer. Born in Anaconda, MT to parents, Russell Jones and Rose Martha (Larivee) Jones. He was raised on a ranch west of Anaconda with his six siblings. Stanley attended Catholic Schools in Anaconda, MT and in his early years worked for the B&P railroads in Anaconda and Butte, MT. Stanley met and fell in love with a Vivacious woman, Pauline Grace Hammer, whom he married in 1958.They were blessed with two children, Stanley Jr. Jones and Barbara Jones( Armstrong). Stanley began his own body shop with his brother Abraham Jones in the Tri-cities, WA. Painting and body work on cars and trucks. Then later moving to Portland, OR and working for Portland Wire and Iron as a welder. He then moved his family to Vancouver, WA. He worked in his own shop as a body and paint man. He was a true car guy, especially his pink mercury car that had "Love Bug" stickers on the doors. Making many trips to Montana with his family and showing off his special car. He was so happy to show his Dad the first -4 track player he had in the car and they listened to songs for hours . Stan always loved to laugh and he was known as a jokester. Later years he would make his trips in his Ford Vans to Montana to visit family and friends. Stanley always traveled with his favorite schnauzer dog that was a real companion to him. Stanley was happy to serve his family his famous waffles and pancakes served with real whipping cream and strawberries. Stanley loved sharing birthday parties and Christmas with his children. Stanley was so proud to be married to his wife, Pauline whom celebrated marriage of 61 years. Pauline took care of Stanley full-time up until just a few days before his passing. Sometimes the road of life seems long as we travel through the years And, with a heart that's broken and eyes brimful of tears. We falter in our weariness and sink beside the way. But God leans down and whispers, "Child, there'll be another day"- And the road will grow much smoother and much easier to face. So do not be disheartened=This is just a "RESTING PLACE." -Helen Steiner Rice Stanley was proceeded in death by his parents, Russell and Rose Martha Jones, his sisters, Violet West, Rose Marie Jones, Isabelle Surina, Carolyn Moore. brothers, Russell J. Jones (Casey) and Abraham Jones.He is survived by his wife, Pauline Jones, his son Stanley Jr. Jones, his daughter, Barbara Jones, (Armstrong), three grandchildren, two great grandchildren.Many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Stanley will always be in our hearts and he will be remembered. There will be a viewing at 1:00p.m.,Tuesday February 9th at Evergreen Memorial Gardens,1101 N.E. 112th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98684. The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society, or the Humane Society of your choice.
