Sharron A. Spangler

Sharron Adelle Spangler, 77, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2022 at home in the arms of her eternal sweetheart in Vancouver. Funeral service will be held in Vancouver on Monday, June 20th at 10:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Burton Ward building, 10509 SE 5th Street, Vancouver, Washington. Grave dedication and burial will follow later that afternoon at the Pilot Rock Cemetery, in Pilot Rock, Oregon for family and close friends. Sharron was born in San Jose, California to Jacob Harlan and Virginia Adelle Mulkey on January 30, 1945. She attended Los Gatos High School and graduated early at the age of 17 in 1962. She went on to become a licensed Beautician and Cosmetologist from the California State Board of Cosmetology. She worked as a consultant for Avon for several years but dedicated her life to being a mother while her children were at home. She married her sweetheart in 1967 and was sealed later for all time and eternity in the Oakland, California Temple. She enjoyed volunteering for 4-H, was an accomplished canine handler and trainer for numerous organizations and capacities, she was an accomplished crafter, including crochet and tatting, with most of her numerous creations being donated to hospital neonatal intensive care units and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Seattle temple. She received many awards at AKC dog shows and obedience trials, especially in the field of Schutzhund K9 training. She was highly involved in youth 4-H programs and operated her own dog training clubs for both youth and adults. She had a soft spot for Native American organizations and charities. Sharron is survived by her husband, Winter Fred Spangler of Vancouver, daughters Shannon Walston (Bryan), Rochelle Mataya (Gary), and Ronda Hansen (Brandon), five grandchildren, Tiana Walley-Cox (Chris), Kimberly Rodriguez, William Walley, Alma Hansen, and Ryley Hansen, and two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Easton Cox, brothers in law Jerry Spangler and Julius Spangler, nephews and nieces, Forrest, Denise and Scott Spangler, Charlene, Jacob, Shawn and Erin Mulkey, Kip and Sharyn Carsner, Jerri Joy and Brandon Spangler, Heath, Stacey, Michelle, Bonnie, and Terri Spangler. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Jacob Harlan and Virginia Adelle Mulkey, brother, Jacob B. Francis Mulkey, half sister Dorothy Carsner, step mother Dorothy Mulkey and step brother Andrew (Bud) Milwid, and brother in law, Arthur Kennis Spangler. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Burton Ward for their help and support of our parents over the past several years.
