Scott A. Satterlee

Scott A. Satterlee, 82 yo and surrounded by love, peacefully passed away on October 13, 2024. While a 3 yr valiant battle with cancer took him too early, he lived a full, engaged,energetic life and leaves innumerable people loving and missing him. His love for friends and family always shined through. Scott was the oldest of 3 children from Agnes and Gerald Satterlee and graduated from Ballard High School in 1960, playing basketball and football and earning the MostInspirational award by teammates. Then onto University of Washington, earning a BA in Business Admin in 1964, playing football and rugby while being an active member ofBeta Theta Pi Fraternity. Scott met first wife Louise there and a passion for all things Husky was ignited and passed down to biological children Sara & Duncan. Post grad,he attended the Thunderbird Int'l School of Trade; played with the inaugural team Seattle Rangers of the Continental Football League and joined the Army Reserves.He then moved to Vancouver/Battle Ground, WA and began his 30 year career at Boyd, building lifelong friendships. After an amiable divorce, he reconnected with childhoodfriend Jeanne and they married in 1990. Scott and Jeanne celebrated 34 years of marriage last summer. If he was pried away from their creek side home that included resident deer, salmon in the stream, countless birdfeeders and hours of whacking brush, he and Jeanne enjoyed vacationing in sunny locales and being 60 year Husky Football Ticket holders. Scott loved anything outdoors including fishing, hunting, archery and playing golf with his best buds at Royal Oaks. His bullish spirit, deep love for friends, family and the land he lived on will forever be missed in our hearts... until we meet again! Scott is survived by his wife Jeanne, children Duncan, Sara Satterlee, Mark Manning, Kathryn (Steve) Jakubek, Kristin Manning, Carolyn (Torey) Grandt, four adored grandkids, Alex, Hunter, Madison and Reed, along with his sister Sue and brother Mark. We are hosting a celebration of life on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2:30pm at Royal Oaks Golf Club, Vancouver, WA. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to the charity of your choice in Scott's honor.
