Roberta M. Hartley Williams

Roberta M. Hartley Williams passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior at 3:00 PM, at the Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center on April 3rd, 2023. Her Husband, David and Daughter, Marie were by her side. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, David Quin Williams, her daughter Marie A. Montgomery and her husband, Daniel Montgomery, and her brothers, John and Jim Hartley. Roberta was born on August 13, 1949, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Helen G. Hartley and Dan N. Hartley. She loved Alaska and was very proud of her Alaska Native heritage. She actively participated as a shareholder in the Cook Inlet Region Inc. (CIRI). She and David made frequent trips back to Anchorage and she always considered herself an Alaskan. David and Roberta have lived in Vancouver, Washington for many years, and she was delighted with their new home. Roberta was a homemaker and very proud of her family and the home and life they made together. Roberta loved life and rarely met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and enjoyed making new friends. She loved her family and never missed an opportunity to join them for an adventure. She enjoyed travel and exploring new places. She initially caught the travel bug on her very first flight from Anchorage, Alaska, to London, England. Her favorite trip was to the Holy Land as part of a mission trip. As she became less able to travel, she continued to enjoy adventures through reading or watching movies. Roberta loved her Lord. She was active in her neighborhood's Christ Addiction Ministries and has been a member of The First Church of God for 20 years. She had a very special spirituality and always looked for a connection with the Holy Spirit in any church she attended. She and her husband David were active in the church choir for many years. When her mobility decreased, she would still cheer on and support David in the different choir activities like the Singing Christmas Tree. Roberta had a quirky sense of humor and loved to dance and sing. It was not uncommon for her to break into a song or a dance when the mood struck her. Roberta was very open and honest and would share her opinions easily and frequently. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Cook Inlet Region Inc. She would have loved to be honored in remembrance with funny, memorable and heartwarming stories highlighting all the blessings her life has given her.
