REBECCA "BECKY" RUTH (HOPKINS) HOLLAND February 27, 1938 ~ November 26, 2012 Rebecca Ruth Hopkins Holland passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Monday, November 26, 2012 in Louisville, CO with her husband of 45 years by her side. She was 74. Becky was born February 27, 1938 in Newton, Mississippi and spent most of her youth in south Texas where her father was an oil field worker and her mother was a seamstress. Becky worked from a young age as a waitress, service representative for the telephone company and spent 29 years as a Realtor. She began her real estate career in Virginia Beach and worked in Las Vegas, Ridgecrest, CA, Kennewick and Vancouver, WA. She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Hamilton Hopkins; her mother, Fannie Edna Thomas Hopkins Coker; and sister, Katherine Hopkins. Survivors include her husband, Jack Holland of Louisville, CO and formerly of Vancouver, WA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Tracy Eglet of Las Vegas, NV, and Kirk and Deborah Holland of Louisville, CO; five adored grandchildren, Keegan, Blake, Jordan, Sarah and Samantha; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Bob Bolger of Baton Rouge, LA; brother, Harry Hopkins of Las Vegas, NV; brother-in-law, Gary Holland of Ridgefield, WA; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces around the country. Besides her love of family, friends, her church and her passion for selling real estate, she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, traveling and shopping. Nordstrom was her second home. She was outgoing and known for her helpful and caring spirit. Her generosity often led to her opening her home to family and friends who needed a place to call home themselves for however long they needed. During and after Jack's Navy career she managed nearly two dozen moves without a complaint. Becky's funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m., Monday, December 3 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Also, please join Becky's family in honoring her life at a reception immediately following the funeral at Beaches Restaurant.
