Patricia Frimberger

On May 16 2017, surrounded by family, Patricia (Patty) Frimberger peacefully passed away after a long period of illness. Patty was born to Clara and Orville E. (Bud) Rice in Bridge Oregon on June 24, 1925. Pattys family lived in many Cities along the Columbia before settling in Vancouver WA., in 1945. Patty graduated from Umatilla High School 1944. In 1945 she met a WWII Air Force Veteran Herman (Bill) Masters and after a year long , long distance relationship they married November 3rd 1946. Patty and Bill had a daughter Pamella Sue. In fall 1980 Patty lost Bill to long term heart ailment. Later in 1980 via Gods mysterious ways a complete stranger with 6 children entered Pattys life. After 9 months of getting acquainted and the Blessings of both families Patty Masters and Fred Frimberger married Aug. 1981 at Trinity Lutheran Church. From 1945 to 1949 Patty worked for Ma Bell Telephone as an operator, teacher and supervisor. Later in 1952 Patty joined the Clark County Auditors Office ending as Supervisor of the Elections Department retiring in 1981. As a member of Family of Christ Lutheran Church Patty was active in numerous support activities and activities involving the poor, hungry and homeless. Patty was a home body and loved cooking, baking and candy making. She was renowned for her chocolates. She enjoyed watching sports events and could get quite vocal even while watching them on TV. Most of all she enjoyed being surrounded by her children being a loving role model, friend and confidant. She is preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, Clara and Orville (Bud) Rice; siblings, Maxine Thomas, Orvil (Buster) Rice; Stepson Fred Frimberger Jr. Survived by daughter Pamella Maggs ( Brian); stepdaughters Frances Frimberger, Terri Kunkel (John), Jackie Ochsner (Rick), stepsons Tim Frimberger, Joe Frimberger (Eileen) ; grandchildren, Tim Maggs (Lella), Mike Maggs, Ryan Kunkel (Clare) Jason Kunkel, Ashley Dodds-Head (Travis), Eric Dodds, Rachael Roberg (Todd), Samantha Frimberger, Staci (Doug) Anderson, Justin (Crystal) Ochsner, Nick Ochsner, Brian Ochsner (Amy) and great -grandchildren Kaitlynn Maggs, Anderson Kunkel, Hayley Ochsner, Mandi and Abbi Anderson, Tyler and Carter Head plus numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Oregon and Washington. Memorial Service to be held at Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 3500 NW 129th St. Vancouver, WA June 24th, 2017 11:00 A.M. Lunch to follow.
