Mitcheal Earl Carpenter

In loving memory of Mitcheal E Carpenter, we are saddened to announce his passing on September 9th 2023 after a brutal battle with metastatic bladder cancer.Mitch was born in Clackamas, Oregon on November 7th, 1958, to Ray and Carol Carpenter, One of five children, Judy Larson(deceased),Karen Morey, Douglas Carpenter and Linda Macomber.Mitch joined the Marine Corps right out of high school and travelled the world, he met life long brothers in his military life who he kept in touch with over the years.Mitch returned to Oregon after leaving the service and lived briefly in Bend, OR to attend community college. He learned to downhill snow ski and enjoyed long distance bicycling.Mitch moved to Portland with his best college buddy in the late 70's and started his sales career in sales. He sold men's clothing, new cars, and later studied for his Real Estate license and started his new path at Gibson Bowles Realtors where he was surrounded by very successful men and women who were great role models for young Mitch.Mitch met his future wife, Adriana Carpenter, while working at the Gay Blade Men's store, they fell swiftly and deeply in love and married less than a year.They enjoyed building their young careers in the Portland area and later moved out to Gresham where they raised two bright sons, Jonathan Carpenter and David Carpenter, the family enjoyed many fun times camping, traveling and road trips to many National Parks and beautiful vacations to Maui, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, San Diego, L.A. and Arizona.The family always had big beautiful German shepherd dogs, Gus, Sadie and now five year old, Maddie, to share in the fun times.Mitch turned his real estate background into a new direction and became a title rep for a short while and was able to meet everyone in the real estate business in Portland and Clackamas. His clients and colleagues became great dear friends. Mitch was known by many and he always knew how to have a good time enjoying delicious meals, drinks, golf, Skiing, fishing, boating or flying his small plane. He loved sharing his life with friends and spent time chatting and laughing on the phone with them.He soon shifted his work life again and got other licenses to originate home and business loans. He bounced around different companies in Clackamas and of course picked up more close friends.He met some like minded, ambitious loan officers at Sunset Mortgage and was part of an elite group of top producers. Mitch got his first Harley Davidson as an award for being in this group of top dogs. He and Adrian enjoyed many years showered with good fortune and blessings of great friends earned by Mitch's success in business.Mitch enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Hunter, Hyndlee, Landynn, Murphy and Maguire.Mitch recently retired and spent this last winter in his little house in Tucson, his dream to spend a whole year in the sunshine was achieved.A life so well lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.Please join us to mourn the passing of Mitch, Oct 8th, at the Portland Yacht Club 2-5.
