In Loving Memory: Marjorie (Marge) WhiteMarch 8, 1933 - June 27, 2025 Clarence Sargent and Mildred Rohrer Sargent celebrated the birth of theironly child, Marjorie Lucile Sargent on March 8, 1933 in Albany, Oregon .The family lived in five different Oregon cities before Marge met Jerry Paulin her senior year at Tillamook High School. They married after graduationand started a family. Sandra (Sandy) was born first, followed by James(Jim) 14 months later. The family moved to Portland where they boughttheir first home. Knowing the loneliness she felt as an only child, Marge wanted morechildren. A daughter was born. This was an extremely difficult time forMarge. Belinda was plagued with numerous health problems that endedher life at seven months of age. Not ready to call it quits yet, Andrew (Andy) was born in 1963. Her familywas complete! Marge worked off and on to help support the family. However, her primarycareer was housewife and loving mother. She earned her real estatelicense and sold property at the Crooked River Ranch in central Oregon.This time was a wonderful period in her life. Many weekends andvacations were spent on their property at the ranch, camping, gardening,exploring, and cherishing new friendships. A home built in Bend, Oregon followed upon Jerry's retirement. Then a newhome in Florence, Oregon. Challenging years followed. Marge had a severe stroke at age 60. Thischanged her life significantly. She had to rely on help from others. Then shebecame a widow 6 years later. Grief counseling followed and she metRichard (Dick) White, who was also grieving the loss of a spouse. True loveensued! They married in 2001 and continued to live in Florence until Dick'shealth required that he be moved to a care facility. A few short years laterMarge became a widow again. Marge's kids moved her to Vancouver, Washington where she could becloser to Andy and her nephews. Andy was holding her hand when shepassed away on June 27, 2025 at age 92. Marge loved Chocolate! She loved cats! Big and small. Wild and domestic. Stacey and Stuart wereher furry roomates for many years. On a recent trip to the Oregon Zoo shehad to see the wild cats. Marge loved music! Any concert or musical entertainment she relished andattended frequently, grinning from ear to ear as she tapped her hand andfoot. Johnny Cash was her favorite!! She loved to travel by car, RV, and cruise ship! Thanks to Rick Steve'smany European travel shows, she saw Europe. She loved the National Geographic Channel! Marge traveled the world andsaw all the places and animals that she could not physically visit. Marge loved her family! Marge is dearly missed by her children Sandra Moriarty, James Paul,Andrew Paul; grandchildren Crista Engom, Jamie Williams, Kellene Wolf,and Sean Moriarty; great grandchildren Wyatt Engom, Cadie Engom,Abraham Branham, Benjamin Branham, Eden Wolf, and Grayson Wolf;nephews Michael Klobas, Patrick Klobas, and Thomas Klobas. As we gather to say our final goodbyes to Marge, we do so with bothsorrow and gratitude. Grief is the price we pay for love, and even as wemourn, we give thanks for the gift of her life shared.
