Linda M. Behm

Linda Marie Behm, 78, passed away peacefully with family at her side on July 26, 2022. Linda was born on March 19, 1944 to Roland(Ron) and Aileen Dittman in Vancouver, Washington. Linda graduated from Hudson's Bay High School in 1962, she married her husband of almost 60 years, Roger, in December of 1962. She is survived by her 3 Daughters; Ronda Hoyt, Renee Behm-LeBlanc, Kari Beebe, and her (step)Daughter Debbie Allman. Sons-in-law Gary Hoyt, Norman Leblanc, and (step)Son-in-law Gary Allman, Grandchildren: Christie Ingalls, Shawn Allman, Shayne Hoyt, Cody Beebe, Kyle LeBlanc, Brett Hoyt, Jessica Sayad, Cassandra Alt, Kalyn LeBlanc, Philip LeBlanc and 8 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Karalie Nelson and Nancy Shelton, She is predeceased by her parents Ron and Aileen Dittman, her husband Roger and her son-in-law Ron Beebe. Linda grew up in Vancouver, she lived, at the time in what was rural Vancouver. She worked as a young teen at her fathers meatpacking company, Evergreen Meatpacking off of Fourth Plain. She later became a florist until she was unable, due to allergies and then she went back to her first career as a meat-wrapper. She earned her CNA certificate and worked in a nursing home for a time. She did volunteer work at Truman Elementary in the reading program when her children were students there, assisted in a Bluebird group, cared for ailing relatives and friends. Linda considered her friends as family, as she was an only child. Linda cared for her husband Roger in his last years. She was a homemaker who loved sewing, gardening, canning, painting, and floristry and loved raising her girls. Family was the most important thing to Linda. She would say to her girls " I asked God for one thing, and that was for a family that loved me". She always said she got the family she always asked for! Linda was always ready to help others, she cared for her ailing mother, provided breakfast for neighbor kids who needed a meal and offered a bed for those who needed it, for as long as they needed it. She provided an oasis for her grandchildren and great grandchildren at the creek and was involved in every aspect of their lives, as one grandchild put it "one thing I can say about Grandma, she was always present" A service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in the Chapel at 10am on Friday, August 5th, a graveside service for those who wish to attend will be at 11am, also at 11 am the reception area will be open for refreshments until noon. Linda loved to travel, there were 2 places she had not seen that she really wanted to see before she passed, the Grand Canyon and Mount Rushmore. Her family was able to make this happen in the last months of her life.
