Kathy S. Faircloth

Kathy Sue Faircloth, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully on February 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and unwavering love. She was born on November 23, 1956, and throughout her life she carried a gentle strength that touched everyone blessed enough to know her. Kathy was a woman rooted deeply in her faith in Christ. Her life was a reflection of that faith—steady, compassionate, and full of grace. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen and cared for, and she offered her love freely. Whether through a comforting word, a helping hand, or quiet counsel, Kathy became a safe place for many. She was a shoulder to lean on, a voice of wisdom, and a presence that brought peace. Kathy’s greatest joy was her family, whom she often said was the most important thing in the world to her. She is survived by her two daughters, Melissa Faircloth and Joni Voss; her son-in-law Bill Voss; her three grandchildren, Brennan Owens, Alexander Owens, and Kerissa Andersen; and her great-grandchild, Raynie Feger. She is also survived by her brothers, Donald Thom and John Thom. Kathy had a heart for animals and found special joy in dogs, especially her adored “grandpups” Belle, Cavall, and Daisy, who never failed to brighten her days. She was also drawn to the ocean, a place that brought her calm and comfort—its waves and endless horizon offering her the peace she loved so much. A creative spirit at heart, Kathy enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, drawing, painting, and crafts of all kinds. She had a way of bringing beauty into the world through her hands, whether in something she grew, made, or lovingly created. Though her passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, her love will remain forever present in the lives she shaped. Kathy Sue Faircloth will be remembered for her gentle heart, her steadfast faith, and the warmth she gave so effortlessly. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend—and her memory will continue to live on like a soft light, guiding those who loved her. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
