Falen D Pierce

Falen Dee Pierce, son of the late Kenneth F. Pierce and Freda M. Pierce was born on August 5, 1939 in Lenox, Iowa. Falen would move to Vancouver, WA when he was 9 years old, and would go to attended public schools in Clark County, WA. He would graduate from Hudson Bay High School in 1958. Falen would play basketball and baseball throughout his high school years, as well as being named "King of the Heavens" of senior Tolo dance. He would participate in student government his junior and senior years. It was in student government he became found of Rene Hopkins while serving as President and Vice-President of Hudson Bay High School. Shortly after high school graduation they were united in holy matrimony on June 25, 1960. Falen and Rene were inseparable, and would go on to create a construction business that would build hundreds of homes throughout Clack County, WA spanning four decades. In the 1980's the couple would make many memorable moments for themselves and their community by opening a video arcade room called "Cosmos." At an early age Falen professed his faith in Jesus Christ. He and his wife shared "Good News Club" to all the neighborhood kids. His favorite bible verse was Philippians 4:6, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." He was always full of fun; hosting many pancake feeds, and game nights with his wife and family. Falen loved all sports, and enjoyed season tickets to the Portland Trailblazers for many years. He loved to spend his days collecting Department 56 Dickens Village houses, and even built a 1000 square foot addition to his home to display them year-round. Often Falen and his wife would open their home for all to see this display. Later in life, Falen would enjoy the challenge of building 3D puzzles. His love of all people, life, and spirit will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. He peacefully transitioned Friday, December 9th in his assisted living apartment at Touchmark at Village Loop in Vancouver, WA. His beautiful life will forever be cherished by his beloved dog Coco. His children: Todd Pierce (Jeanne), Tal Pierce (Christina), and Tricia Smith (Trevor). 10 grandchildren: Michael, Joel, Nicole (William), Angela (Scott), Kyra (Matt), Kimmy (Greg), Josh (Emily), Nathan, Maria (Hayden), and Lola. 13 great-grandchildren: Halen, Ronin, Cyrus, Kyla, Nevaeh, Alyssah, Lucas, Kevin, Mason, Colson, Camille, James, and Saylor. Sisters: Patty, and Dixie. Brothers-in-law: Pete, and Craig. Sisters-in-law: Cheryl, Cheri, Deanna, Marcia, and Linda. And a host of deeply loved: nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be miss dearly. In Falen's favorite phrase "That's a wrap!"
