DOROTHY "TOOTS" FAY (SNIDER) MARICH October 22, 1931 ~ May 28, 2018 Dorothy Marich of Vancouver, WA passed away on May 28, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born on October 22, 1931 in Hot Springs, Montana. She was the daughter of Roy and Beulah Snider. Dorothy Fay is survived by three children, Douglas Stanley Marich and his wife Janice, Connie Fay Brittain and her husband Robert Brittain, James Allen Marich and his wife Lindsay; grandchildren, David Turnier, Stephen Turnier, Kelly Lutz, Michael Cassidy and fiance Melissa, Nicholas Cassidy and wife Tiffany, Melissa Walliker and husband Mike, and Elizabeth Thomas and husband Nic; twelve great-grandchildren; as well as many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stan Marich; two daughters, Laura Marich and Betty Francis; and five siblings, Marian Pratt, Delmer "Dutch" Snider, John Snider, Kathleen Pruter and Velma L. Marshall Gaeta. Dorothy grew up in Hot Springs, Montana. Her family gave her the nickname "Toots". She graduated from high school and attended college in Dillon, Montana for two years. She met Stan Marich and had five children. They moved to San Jose, CA and she became a cosmetologist and taught beauty school for years. She also drove a school bus for Santa Clara County for kids with disabilities. When she retired, she moved to Grass Valley, CA to enjoy the country. After her husband died, she decided to move to Vancouver, WA to be closer to her family. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, especially quilts, she sewed gifts for her family and friends. She liked cooking and made big batches of cookies, baked the best apple pies. She enjoyed reading and would have discussions with family and friends about the books she read. She was a caring, giving, loving person who always thought of others first especially her children and grandchildren. She loved and had compassion for pets. She had a strong faith in God. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, June 8th, 3-5 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, WA 98684. Reception following.
