David Daniel Orr

David Daniel "Dan" Orr peacefully went to heaven on Friday, October 11, 2024 surrounded by his family in Vancouver, WA. He was 68 years old. Dan was born in Bertha, MN, on June 15, 1956 to David and Del-May Orr. He was a lovable and busy little boy. As a teenager, he filled his time with high school marching band, playing football and running track. Dan attended North Central Bible College and during that time he found the love of his life, Judy. They were married in 1979 and celebrated their 45th anniversary in 2024. They were blessed with 2 children Kelly Ann and Kyle David. Dan had an adventurous spirit and a real zest for life which led him to travel extensively. He loved fishing, boating, scuba diving and riding motorcycles. He sought out unique hobbies which included owning exotic animals, creating glass art, landscape painting, and 3-D printing. Dan was a man that could hold a conversation with anyone about any topic. Dan's intimate relationship with the Lord led him on many mission trips around the world and in 1993 he was ordained as a minister with the Assemblies of God. He ministered through his anointed piano playing, teaching, and counseling. He touched the hearts and lives of countless people. Before his ministry years, Dan was a brilliant project manager for various construction companies. In 1998 he moved his family to the Pacific Northwest where he continued to work in construction and expanded his reach to specialized government projects. Dan is survived by his wife Judy, his daughter Kelly, son Kyle (Katie) and his father David. He was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren: Emily, Sarah, Madison, Alyssa, Xander, Natalie and Joshua. He was preceded in death by his mother Del-May, brother Dwight and sister Darla. A gathering to remember Dan and the many ways he impacted our lives will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 2pm in the Great Room at Summerhill Apartments 14055 Granite Ave. Apple Valley, MN 55124. Judy, Kelly, Kyle and Dave look forward to hearing your memories of special times with Dan at the gathering.
