Cheryl Arlene Blair

Cheryl Arlene Blair August 31st, 1946 September 4th, 2014 Cheryl Arlene Blair (LaVonn) was born in Portland, Oregon as one of five siblings and raised in a Christian home. After graduating from Madison High School, she wed Joseph Tallon Blair on April 15th, 1966. Husband and Wife, soon a family, raised their son and daughter and settled in Vancouver, WA before rooting themselves firmly in Camas, WA. The couple recently celebrated 48 wonderful years of marriage in the Spring of 2013. Cheryl liked to remain busy and spent many years as a CNA where those she helped would grow to be important part of her life. Once retired, more time was spent with her family and friends but Cheryl still insisted on staying active with a part-time position at the Lakeside Chalet where countless faces would again become cherished memories and great friends. Cheryl loved her family, friends, holiday gatherings, the outdoors, family campouts, playing billiards and of course experiencing a 2013 Seahawks NFL Championship 37 years in the making. But above all else, Cheryl loved helping others whenever she could and likewise when she couldn't. She was a Daughter, Sister, Niece, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Godmother, Nurse, Friend and Co-worker to what seems like limitless people. But most importantly, Cheryl was everyone's irreplaceable rock. Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Laverne LaVonn, her sister Gracie and brother Richard. She is survived by her twin sisters Anita Lowen and Annette Cook, husband Joseph Tallon Blair, son Joseph Tallon Blair, Jr., daughter La Verne Blair, grandchildren Natasha Blair, Evander Thomas, McKenzie Blair, Brandon Casteel, Joseph Tallon Blair, III, great grandchild Raiden Tallon Springer, several nieces and nephews, countless friends and her Miniature Eskimo companion, Topper. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Saturday, September, 13th, 2014, at 10:00 am, following by a short gathering in the hospitality room. Viewing will be Friday, September 12th from 10:00 am -9:00 pm. The family has requested that any donations in Cheryl's name please be directed to the the National Cancer Foundation.
