CAROL SUE WEINHOLDSeptember 4, 1943 ˜ December 14, 2023 Born in Saint Paul, MN, the 4th of Sept. 1943, Carol Sue Weinhold passed away peacefully the 14th of Dec. 2023, in Vancouver, WA. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Ronald Weinhold, children, grandchildren, extended family, friends, church community, and neighbors.The third child of Lyle and Vivian Amos, Carol had three brothers, Harry, Fred, and Dick. In her youth, she enjoyed ice skating and singing in the choirs at her high school and North Heights Lutheran Church in Roseville, MN, where she met Bill Raleigh, whom she married in 1962. The newlywed couple resided briefly in Silver Spring, MD, before moving to Port Hueneme, CA, in 1963, where their son, Kenneth William, was born.A few years later, the family moved back to the east coast, to Onondaga, NY, where their daughter, Kathrine Elizabeth, was born in 1967. Ultimately, they settled in Southern California, first in San Gabriel County, and later, in Santa Clarita. Carol played tennis, and was active in her church, her community, and her children's social and sports activities. Later, she worked as executive secretary at large companies, such as JBL and Six Flags Magic Mountain. She and Bill Raleigh parted ways amicably in 1986.A few years later, Carol met and married Richard E. Cronk. The couple spent several happy years together in Santa Clarita. Having lost Richard to a terminal illness in 1997, she found comfort and support in her friendships and in Christian faith. A new period in Carol's life began when she met Ron Weinhold at Grace Baptist Church. They were married in 2002 and later moved to Camas, WA, where they joined New Heights Church and became active members of the Prime Time seniors' group. She was well known for her generous support for Open House Ministries and other faith-based initiatives.Carol loved her family deeply, traveling to Southern California and Spain as often as possible to spend time with her children, grandchildren, her niece, Grace Cronk, and friends. She enjoyed all children immensely and would go out of her way to welcome them into her home and life.Carol was very strong in her faith, and she showed much gratitude for her life on earth. She will be remembered as a loving and generous person by all who knew her.
