Brittney Kianna White

Brittney Kianna White shed her earthly bonds on Monday, September 18, 2017. She was our loving, caring, joyous girl who uplifted our lives and encouraged us to be our best. Brittney effortlessly inspired charity, laughter and fun. She modeled her exuberance for life every day and taught us empathy and kindness. She loved and lived with an intensity that defies description. Born October 5, 1983 in Fairbanks, Alaska, Brittney joined an extremely large Alaska Native and Japanese family with multi-generational roots spread from Alaska to the West Coast. From a very young age, her widely acknowledged superpowers were joy and unconditional love. The first-born child of Tammi Toyoko (Kushida) White and the late Todd Ely White, Brittney's early years were spent in Fairbanks until the family relocated to Vancouver, Washington in 1987. She attended Walnut Grove Elementary, Image Elementary, and Cascade Jr. High, graduating from Evergreen High School in 2002. She went on to attend Clark College where she received an internship with Disney World and subsequently graduated from Disney University. Britt also pursued a degree in business management through University of Phoenix. With her gift of exuberance, Brittney naturally gravitated to customer-facing occupations. She grew new families wherever she went and developed lifelong friendships among her coworkers. She worked at Old Country Buffet, Gap, American Eagle, Red Lobster, Beaches Restaurant and Bar, Disney World, Reunion Resort, 24 Hour Fitness, L.O. Property Mgmt Agency, Kantishna Roadhouse, Elks Lodge and Party Palace. Brittney was also a nanny for a lovely family in Lake Oswego for a time and launched her own eBay business. Brittney is survived by her mother, Tammi T. White, her brother, Austin Ely White and his significant other Ashley Walsh, sister Olivia Nicole White, and sister Victoria Caitlyn Lysenko and brother-in-law Daniel Lysenko. Brittney's passing has profoundly saddened her lifelong friend, Justin Evans. She leaves her deeply bereaved aunts and uncles to cherish her precious memory - maternal: Annette Yurino (Kushida) Groeneveld, Tom Yukio Kushida Jr., and Michael David Irwin and Vikki Lord Irwin and their sons, her cousins, Jordan, Caleb, Joel and Samuel; paternal: Lori Lee and David Michael Kezer, Heidi and Gary Paul, Daniel and Robin Orlin, and cousin, Noah Orlin. Brittney is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Toni Marie White. She also leaves behind many loving relatives from the following families: Mancuso, Peter, Lord, Minano, Wedde, Kushida, Galenese, White, Morrow and Sumida. Brittney was preceded in death by her father, Todd Ely White, her maternal grandmother, Elfrieda Nevlo Lord, and her maternal grandfather, Tom Yukio Kushida Sr.; as well as her paternal grandfather, Alfred Clair White, and uncle, Scott Aaron White; and adopted sister, Ashley Lee Seda. The Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 10 - 11 am at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens, with refreshments from 11 - 12 noon, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1 - 5 pm at Warehouse 23. Both venues are located in Vancouver, Washington. All who loved our happy girl are welcome.
