Betty Faith Snyder

Betty Faith Snyder passed away unexpectedly from a stroke, with the love of all her family at her side on December 3, 2015 in Vancouver Washington at Peace Health Hospital. Betty was born Faith Valentine on February 14, 1926 to Archibald & Helen Moore in Upland, CA where she lived until attending Nursing School. She met her husband Roy at a Baptist church function and after they were married both worked in medical education and research welcoming their children where their jobs and research took them, Faith in Syracuse NY, Bill in Cortland NY and Irene in Elmhurst Ill. where Betty was head nurse at Chicago General Hospital. Shortly after, they moved to California where Betty earned her Master's in Education at USC, finally settling in La Jolla CA & becoming members of La Jolla Pres. and later Mount Soledad Pres. Betty's heart for healing, nurturing and service was well used as the school nurse for Poway High school from 1967 1982. After their children grew, Betty & Roy joined the community of DODDS as the school nurse at Berlin American High School from 1984 1994 witnessing the fall of the Berlin wall and traveling throughout Eastern & Western Europe the UK, Africa, Israel & Egypt. Returning to the US, Betty & Roy settled in Vancouver Washington, after touring the US in their RV. They became dedicated members of Liberty Bible Nazarene Church who's' fellowship in October 2002 celebrated the life of Roy at his passing preceding his beloved Betty to their Father's heavenly home. Betty is also preceded by her parents Archie & Helen, sisters Phyllis, Jean and brother Roger. She is survived by her daughter Faith McClelland, son Bill with wife Kristi Snyder, grandsons Isiah, Noah & Micaiah Snyder, daughter Irene with husband Michael Bubnack, grandson Ryan & granddaughter Katelynn Bubnack, nieces Katie Mahler and Barbara with husband Pat Patterson. A memorial service will be held in Vancouver, WA on Sunday 12/13/15 at 3:00pm at Evergreen Memorial Garden. A mass intention for Betty Snyder will be said on 12/21/15 at 12:00PM at Founders Chapel at University of San Diego.
